Hello! What do you guys think of nyu cas? Is it worth the money to go there and is the education worth it? Also, hows the economics program in NYU cas? Is it worth the money and how hard is it to get a job if you are in NYU economics? Is it impossible to compete with Stern students? How hard is it to get good grades in NYU cas economics?

That depends on what your financial aid package looks like. Can you afford NYU without taking out any loans? If you cannot, how much debt would you have to place yourself into?

NYU’s economics department is phenomenal, #12 in the country, tied with University of Michigan and right behind Columbia. So yes, the academics within NYU are excellent.

You can still get internships coming from NYU CAS doing econ - Remember, NYU is a highly respected school within NYC. I’ve beaten out a number of Columbia students for internship positions on occasion.

Most classes at NYU are graded on a curve - so it depends on (1) how much you study and do well and (2) how well other students do. That said, professors will almost never curve your grade down.

I just transferred to Stern but if i stayed in CAS econ i’d say it’s not hard to get internships at all. It’s not that hard to get good grades, N2013 pretty much summed up all the good points. I’d just like to add before u choose ur courses, look at professor ratings, ask juniors or seniors about good prof they’d recommend.
