How good is NYU CAS for economics, I want to try to get into Stern through an internal transfer as it was too much of a reach to directly apply to. I know its hard and if I don't get in, which I won't, I want to know if NYU CAS is worth it. I got into NYU CAS and GWU Business School and don't know which is better. Confused!!!!! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

GO to NYU CAS. It’s one of the top 10 best schools for Economics.

Do you get a good salary with an Economics degree from NYU-CAS?

On their website they say WS jobs, etc. Anyone actually from CAS Econo major can post here with some insight?

Starting salarywise though is $52K vs $62K for Stern…

ughhh another CAS to Stern wannabe lmao

Transferring internally to Stern is becoming harder and harder. Don’t go to NYU if you plan on transferring to Stern. It won’t happen.

If you think you can get extremely good grades at CAS and will be qualified enough to transfer, its possible to get into Stern, but unlikely. Studying under CAS will be more theory based economics compared to Stern which is more applied economics.

CAS Economics is superb. Certainly better than GWU Business and definitely up there with Stern.
