NYU CAS vs UVA McIntire for trading?

I've been accepted to both as a sophomore transfer. Well technically I need to apply to McIntire after completing the reqs, but I'm sure I'll get in.

I'm interested in trading, and I think NYU has a distinct advantage in the internship opportunities it will provide. On the other hand, I'll be an econ major and I don't want to suffer for not being in Stern (not allowed to transfer to Stern).

If I choose UVA I won't be able to intern during the year, but I won't have to worry about being disadvantaged to the business students, since I will be one. From what I understand, UVA tends to have stronger placements as well. Either BB trading or a prop trading firm are what I'm wanting to go into.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I'm coming from an unknown tiny non-target on the west coast, if that makes any difference

UVA absolutely over NYU CAS. If you were at Stern this would be a closer call.

Idk what the mcintire acceptance rate is and your fin aid situation, but NYU CAS econ is pretty legit (I think top 15 program) and you can also dual major econ/comp sci econ/math cause I would assume trading firms like quantitive majors. I’m not sure mcintire recruiting would be that great for trading, maybe ib. Either way, both are good choices.

UVA McIntire by 10 miles. As younboi said, McIntire vs Stern would be a close call, but CAS doesn’t even compare.
