No chance with that test score. Improve that and then maybe. EC’s are okay. Essay’s matter the most to NYU.

sat and act reallllyyy need to be raised

if raised do i have a chance?

Since it is so large, NYU has a reputation for putting heavy weight on test scores. With your current scores, there is no doubt that it is a reach. 2000 and or a 30 would put you into a match range. I don’t doubt that you will try, but such large jumps on either test probably won’t happen.

you are in. just need 1800 sat… 27, 28 act

Quite frankly, everyone else here is correct when they say that the test scores mean A LOT for NYU. Your GPA and URM hooks make it a safety, but your test scores make it an uber reach, so I’m going to go ahead and say… LOW REACH.

I wouldn’t be satisfied with the profile for NYU admission, either; I’m just merely saying that at your current state you’re a low reach. Don’t bother with the ACT- it looks like you do WAY better on the SAT. Attempt to get at least 600 on each section, and if you do, it becomes a match.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1517788-chance-johns-hopkins-ed-will-chance-back.html

SAT/ACT is my only problem really, then?

bumpbumpbump

Your ECs are a little weak and that SAT is too low
NYU: reach
