NYU chances? Please help!

I'm currently applying to schools and i'm trying to create a balanced list, i don't want to waist time so here are my stats

Weighted GPA 4.11
Unweighted 3.68
SAT: 1680 (taking one more time)
EC's: Track team captain
Varsity track for 3 years
BSU, UNICEF, and National Honor society member (2 years each)
Work experience from freshman to senior year
Taken 10 total AP classes in high school (4 total taken so far)
4 on AP Lang
3 on AP psych
2 on AP chem
1 on AP Euro
in the top 7% of my graduating class
Light Community service work (a little under 50 hours)
Also i'm African American (if that helps much)

I'm still studying for me SAT II and SAT retake but i'm concerned that my SAT will really hurt my chances. Please give me your honest opinions thank you!

You seem to be doing well in your classes (APs, decent gpa, top ten percentile, etc…) so that’s all good for NYU. As for your SAT, it will hurt you unfortunately. Luckily, though, NYU has one of the most flexible testing policies in the nation. Either 1) take the ACT OR 2) take 3 subject tests. I’d recommend the latter, since you can study subjects you do well in. Best of luck to you!
