<p>What are my chances for NYU? I did ED 1 if that means anything </p>

<p>GPA: 3.91 unweighted
SAT: 1920 (680 CR, 570 M, 670 W)
Rank: Top 10%, 13/184</p>

<p>AP:
3 AP Euro
5 AP US
5 AP English
3 AP Bio
Plan to take AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, and AP English Lit and Comp</p>

<p>EC's:
- Varsity Swimming for 4 years, now captain
- Speech and Debate 3 years, now captain
- Nationally and Internationally awarded Newspaper (2 years)
- Literary Arts Magazine (2 years) </p>

<ul>
<li>64 service hours for teaching at Summer School </li>
<li>4 years working at the same place as a lifeguard, got my pool operator license too </li>
<li>work during school year as a photographer/photo editor</li>
<li>8 years of playing the piano</li>
</ul>

AP Scholar with Honors </p>

<p>I had a VERY strong essay and a good writing supplement. My Recommendation was superb. </p>

<p>I am applying to CAS ED 1. My uncle went to NYU, which I said in the "have any relatives ever attended NYU" and my twin sister is also applying, but RD. </p>

<p>Your probably in. Your SAT score is in the ball park range, couple that with your stellar essay and your great EC’s. </p>

<p>Your GPA and AP Scores are great. Your ECs are also very strong. Your SAT, as others of said, is a little low, but nothing that you can’t make up. You have pretty good chances in my opinion - Good Luck!</p>

<p>I think it’s all been said before all your stats look great except for your SAT which isn’t bad, it just isn’t as great. I’d say you’re in if your essays are as great as you say they are. :slight_smile: best of luck, 28 days till we all find out.</p>

I think you have a decent chance of getting in. If your standardized test score was stronger, it would raise your chance quite a bit, but I think you’re still in decent shape- especially since you said your essay is strong. And to be honest, unless it gets to a point of choosing either you or one other candidate, with their holistic review, I don’t think they would disqualify you just because of a low test score. <p>I think the legacy is really going to help you out
Plus NYU doesn’t look at test scores as much so I would say that your SAT is fine (it’s the average CAS score anyway)
ED will help you too because it shows commitment to the school
You have excellent ECs and I think you have a high change of getting in…</p>
