Thanks!

Heyy you guys!

I got wait-listed as well. ://

Have any of you heard any news yet? I’m soooo incredibly nervous. Does anyone know when they’ll be replying?

I’ve been waitlisted too. I was just going through the admissions blog entries from last year and I saw that Mr. Abbott started giving out updates on the waitlist about 27th-ish April. I wonder what’s causing the delay this time around.

and the second waitlist update was on May 9th so hopefully we should be hearing back soon!

are all of you going to attend if you get in?

@Maryyyam I really haven’t given it much thought yet but I think I probably will if I get into Stern

Son was just taken off the waitlist last night from Occidental but hasn’t heard anything from NYU. I think he has his heart set on NYC, though, so he’ll probably chose Fordham over Oxy but it depends on NYU.

@hellgiver ya Stern is a great school so you should definitely consider it!

If anyone hears back, please let me/us know on here!
Good luck!

I really really really hope I get in as well. The wait is killing me!
I haven’t heard anything yet :///
Also, have you guys accepted another university offer in the mean time?

Well I’m not worried too much about the wait lists cuz I’ve already made a deposit at the University of Virginia (and yes I’m not IS). I just might end up rejecting offers from the wait lists so it’s all good. From what it seems, you guys deserve getting into NYU more than me cuz it’s your dream school. So good luck! @Maryyyam @■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Have you accepted any offer?

@■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ thanks a lot and Congratulations!!!<:-P I was admitted to McGill earlier this year too :). Its an excellent university but since your heart is dead set on NYU, I’d say that there is every sense in waiting. When’s the last date to accept their offer? If it is your second choice then you might wanna consider making a deposit to confirm your place.

The housing application deadline for UVa is the 1st of June so that’s not a problem anyways. But Yes, I will be applying for housing soon. I won’t wait for NYU, I will only consider it if and when I am offered a place.

did anyone else get an email?

@chillychilly did you get an email?

yes. did anyone else get it too?

I got an email this morning saying that they have an open spot and were interested if I would be committed to go. They asked me to reply within 48 hours. I’m not sure if that means I’m in or still processing or if they’re just emailing everyone.

Yeah You’re in @sonsson, congrats!! <:-P Btw which school were you accepted to and are you going to attend?

Thanks! I’m just slightly concerned since they said they were “interested” but didn’t explicitly say I was in haha. I got into CAS for econ and I think so. I SIRd to Boston U but for econ I think NYU is a better choice, even if it’s a bit more expensive.

@sonsson haha you’re definitely in! CAS Econ is good but Stern is better and this translates into the recruiting; Sternies tend to have an edge over CAS Econ majors and land the top most jobs but having said that, if you perform very well at CAS, you will do just fine.
I do agree with you, NYU CAS Econ is better than BU and I definitely think that you should attend NYU. Good luck with your decision! :)

Btw did you only select CAS in the RSVP form or did you choose some other schools as well?

I got that email too! Just replied but I’m still deciding whether or not I should attend if finance is going to be a problem…
