@kadima295 I think a few will be lucky to get in off the wait list and so people should move along and if you are chosen and can go given financial aid, etc. then that’s great. It is, however, not healthy to continue to obsess since it isn’t going to change anything.
This honestly breaks my heart. I was so set on NYU and not to seem arrogant or anything but my grades, SAT score, and ECS are actually really good. It just sucks to feel like I worked so hard for nothing 
@mb6838 I feel the exact same. I got straight As since freshman year, took multiple APs, was in theatre and writing, and I was shocked to see that I wasn’t accepted. Admissions is random

@wdjacca That is crazy that they don’t let you know your GPA. Never heard of such a thing. You should be allowed access to that information.
Slightly confused. Haven’t heard anything from NYU. All I have received is the first NYU WL email. MY counselor says they’re not taking any kids from Gallatin, but possibly from Stern. I have not gotten an official letter of rejection like I did from the Harvard WL. Any news guys?
@HSloser Did they accept you to CAS for fall after spring liberal core acceptance?
@GrusMinion yes and its so annoying. They say it’s because they dont want us to focus on comparing our grades with each other. I don’t study in the US so my school’s grading system is not exactly the same but they said they have a conversion chart to convert our grades to a GPA based one. But then even so we don’t even know our grades before conversion. We’re supposed to be told our predicted results for open exams and my school just straight said they won’t tell us to “protect” us. I am so mad at this right now.
@wdjacca Well the good news is that you will be out of that school soon and on a great new journey. I hope it’s NYU but if not I’m sure you will have a great experience.

Guys. I got into NYU. Liberal Studies Core Program, Spring admit. I got the acceptance on Wednesday but saw the email today. I payed my deposit to ensure my spot but will negotiate fin aid on Monday. Never give up guys. I’m telling you. NEVER give up.

Honestly I’m ready to close this chapter in my life. Like the rest of you guys, I’ve been stressing for the past month over NYU waitlist. I recently got off of the waitlist at one of my other top choices so I’ll be going there. It’s been a good run guys and congrats to those who got in!!! I hope NYU will continue to take more qualified students off of their waitlist (though improbable). I’m sure we will all succeed in the schools we are going to.
