NYU Comp Sci-Reach

Reach, try to raise your SATs scores to the 2000s-2100s. You’re pretty close. Chance me?

With those SAT scores I’d say maybe low/ regular reach! Good luck!

Try UMass Amherst or UMD as non-reaches…

Your GPA is good, but like everyone else said, you might want to touch up on your SAT score. Especially considering that you have a heavy math background (which is great since you want to go into Comp Sci) they might raise an eye at the fact that your math score is “only” 700. Do definitely focus on the entire SAT of course, but try to show strength in math since that’s your niche I’m guessing. You’re showing improvement so that should be achievable.

Do you have any other EC’s? Like I said, I think you have impressive academic EC (Mu Alpha Theta, wow) but you’ll want to show that you’re a candidate with diverse interests. Any community service beyond Red Cross? Any leadership position(s)? Sports? Of course don’t try to pack all of them at once lest you risk tanking academics, but I recommend having a few more beyond just math/science.

@someguyincollege‌ yes I have volunteered at a local hospital and library both about 40 hours each

That’s good. I’m no admissions counselor so I don’t know how much weight that will carry but it’s definitely a plus. I was thinking more along the lines of well known clubs (Key, Leo, etc.) but name value isn’t everything. I guess it just depends on the person in charge of admissions.
