NYU decision date

I just called the NYU admissions office to ask if they had all my application materials. The lady said yes and then I asked when I can expect to hear. She said that NYU starts sending results in late April and continues through May, but that I can expect to hear "sooner rather than later." She said she cant tell me if a decision has been made about me or not, but repeated the thing about sooner rather than later.

Does this mean they made a choice about me? And is it bad if they did? Seems like it hasnt been long since I sent in the application (about a month).

Also, I saw something earlier where someone on here said that they talked to NYU and were told to expect a decision in the next week. Does anyone know if that actually happened?

If she said starting late april then she probably means you'll hear it then if its sooner. Hopefully I will as well.

So does anyone have any ideas about whether this is a good or a bad thing for my chances?

I called today and was told as well that late April was when they would be finished making decisions...I think...but I'm not too sure.
