<p>Is this a good program? NYU seems great but how's Poly? I plan to pursue civil engineering, and I'm out of state</p>
<p>Civil engineering at Poly is amazing. I’m dating someone who’s graduating from Civil this spring. 
The courses and the professors are mostly very comprehensive; my impression is, you end up knowing how to solve the same problems many different ways.</p>
<p>NYU and Poly are pretty different… but Poly is on its way to fully being a school within NYU, like NYU Stern, NYU Tisch–> NYU Poly. I prefer Poly, and I actually don’t like NYU too much for its classes (engineering and tech are my first loves) but I do love NYU’s facilities - library, gym, health centers, etc.</p>
<p>You’re in the dual degree program? Would there be any time in the course load to minor in something else while at NYU?</p>
