NYU ED 2 // Class of 2024

@nyclover1212 are you applying to sps for hotel management or something similar? If so you seem like you have a good chance, sat notwithstanding.

@BrielleNJ24 yes hotel management!!

Guys I wonder which one is more important in reviewing a transcript: gpa vs. senior course rigor

@VeroChiang I would say both are about equally important to an extent. But remember, it always looks better to have a B in a harder class. For instance, a B in honors of AP English looks better than an A in regular English.

@CMH2024 I see. Would it harm my chance if I don’t take as many APs as I did in junior year? Even if mid year grades look good.

Hello everyone! I applied ED2 to CAS for economics. My stats are a 3.69 UW GPA (equivalent to a 4.5+ because of IB subjects), 1400 SAT superscore (740 math, 660 EBRW), pretty good ECs, and a really good essay (my counsellor said it should get me in). Is this good enough for NYU?

Guys I wonder when the decisions are coming out? February 13th ?

@msjacy Highly possible it is Feb. 13th

Do you know at what time do the decisions usually release?

@msjacy The acceptances usually get released anywhere from 3pm to 5pm (emphasis on usually). Rejections, I hear, get released much earlier than that.

@VeroChiang What makes you say it’s highly possible they’ll release decisions on the 13th?

All decisions are released simultaneously.

@VeroChiang As long as you have a balanced schedule and aren’t only taking electives, you should be fine.

Hey, I was wondering whether there is any way to get the hint of my decision before decision actually comes out? Anyone knows about it?

@CMH2024 I agree lol. Thank you!

@jkthere It’s based on the past trend haha

Anyone else freaking out about the decisions? Also how competitive is the politics major at CAS? I know some majors are harder to get into than others.

I’m experiencing the longest week in my life

does anyone know how competitive steinhardt is for non-music majors? applied for nutrition. 3.8 weighted gpa, 5 APs (school only offers 10), 28 ACT/1270 SAT. strong recs, personal statement about nutrition/my cooking blog, strong why nyu essay. sooo stressed!!!

So rejections are released at an earlier time than acceptances the same day?
