NYU ED 2 Official Thread

On Feb. 15th at or after 5 pm EST

The other thing is that I had friends who applied ED I and some of them got their emails of acceptance/rejection during school. One girl even got her rejection at 1.

I also don’t know if it’s just a coincidence, but it seems that they sent out the rejections first for ED I.

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well, was the time for ED1 notification different then the one for ED2?

Yeah, they sent out rejection letters early in the morning, then went for lunch, then sent out the acceptance letters. Lol. I got mine around 2-2:30. Happy waiting chickadees~

Yeah they sent out the rejection letters first. Some were sent out as early as 8am EST. Acceptances started being sent out around 4pm.

It scares me to think that if i get an email from them before a certain time, its probably a rejection.

I got my ED1 acceptance around 3pm central time

I’m turning off my iPhone from the hours of 5am - 5pm PST

Is 5PM the set time for notifications to be delivered? Gah so nervous!

They advertise it around five, but it usually ends up being a little earlier. Usually between 1-4 EST.

I got my acceptance at 3:42 PM EST exactly for ED1 @ Stern. I was constantly refreshing CC and was seeing all the early posters were all rejected so I was soooo nervous. Ate like a cracker for the whole day because I didn’t have the stomach to withstand all the pressure lol.

ED I acceptee here. Rejections went out early. I saw it on CC around 9:00, so I shut my phone off…for an hour. I checked my status on Albert around 3:00ish and saw I had FA. Finally got the email around 4:30ish.

It was a roller coaster emotionally. Good luck to everyone!

15 day countdown.  :D

D was able to first see Financial Aid come up on Albert…then an accept/ decline button came up on Albert and finally her ED e-mail. The time frame for all this was from about 3:00 ish to 3:46 pm.

15 more days!

Even if I live on the other side of the world I’ll make sure I’ll be up around 4-5AM just to see the decision…

Yeah I got my acceptance around 2:45 central time. I know in previous years they have sent out acceptances a day or two early. I really think it all just depends.
Good luck to all of you! I know how agonizing the waiting is, but it will all be over soon. You’ll end up where you’re supposed to be:)

lol ill be on the other side of the world on vacation when the emails come out. Good thing I’ll probably be sleeping so no stress until i wake up, which will be after all the emails have been sent.

Cannot believe that it is just 2 weeks till we get our decisions…

10 days left!
[NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row](<a href=“NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row”>NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row)

“A total of 6,485 students applied through NYU’s Early Decision Program, which offers two rounds of admission to students who indicate that NYU is their first choice, an increase of 6.3% from last year. Of the 5,691 Early Decision applicants who indicated that NYU’s campus in New York is their primary choice, 1,625 also asked to be considered for NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi. Of the 794 Early Decision applicants who indicated that NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi is their primary choice, 345 also asked to be considered for NYU’s campus in New York.”

I remember reading that around 3500- 4000 applicants applied Early Decision one, if this is referring to all of the early decision candidate for ED I & II then our pool should be around the same size or a little smaller then ED Is.
