Along with many other anxious folks on here, I am eager to see my decision come this Thursday (AHH). I applied to the CAS for Political Science, with high gpa, average SAT, and lots of leadership positions/recognition. I’ve been going from thread to thread, and looking around NYU Albert for some time, trying to pinpoint hints of admission for the class of '21. I thought that it would be appropriate to create a thread just for discussing these indicators, so we can have some closure, and future NYU applicants can see some of the indicators that we dealt with.
Although all of these indicators should be taken with a grain of salt, I think it would still be nice to discuss our findings. Currently, people are noticing changes in the FA section on Albert, and changes on the housing site. I am applying from Virginia, and I have noticed little changes for me.
Hai fren! I’m also an ED1 CAS PoliSci applicant. I am in Florida and have FA and housing changes just not the fall one yet. I can access all pages, but for some reason the housing portal lists my gmail. X
Btw, I have slightly higher than average ACT with a kick butt ACT score. Additionally, lots of leadership and music and such, great writing supplements and all that jazz. The only thing is a slightly low, 3.65-ish GPA unweighted, but I take all IB and AP, took all honors before that, basically taking the most rigorous classes possible. I did extra FLVS classes, so I have a ton of credits.
When I go to the housing portal, my email and DOB was blank a few days ago. However, I checked yesterday, and now it displays my DOB and my netid@nyu.edu email address.
@lemonlyman328 cool! I also took the hardest class at my school, and have a gpa of 95/100. Hoping my internship with VA Dems helps me out…got to meet a lot of huge political figures! The wait until Thursday is dragging so long lol.
so far, people are suggesting that logging into the nyu classes portal suggests something, though it seems like everyone on the forums is capable of logging onto it. Some people have tried logging onto the housing registry and found their nyu email there (netid@nyu.edu) . i dont know of any other indicators. i think these are pretty meaningless so far because no one has stated that they are incapable of completing these tasks.
