What does the stern ed acceptance letter look like? is it different than the rejection letter?

i heard that its out on 12th...do you guys think i should get the result before 20th in california??cause i leave on 20th for christmas trip and id like to know the result before leaving the trip....

My d received her E.D. acceptance from NYU (Gallatin) on 12/16/06 in the mail.

if you get accepted do you just get a letter or do you get like a package with forms etc.?

im wondering the same thing too i wanna know the decision before i open the envelope/package lol

The acceptance letter was dated Dec. 12th, and she received it on Dec. 16th in California. It was inside a big folder/package that contained forms, Discover NYU info, etc., and welcomed her ED to Gallatin. Good luck!

i just want to knowww alreadyyyy.

Same. Only about a month until we find out!

The waiting is borderline frightening...4 weeks tomorrow :/

three days until the letters are sent out!

back to the size question though - acceptances are bigger?
and is it true that the rejections typically arrive later?

Yeah, I wanna know the answer to those two questions up there ^ as well.

Generally speaking, that's how it's been in the past six years.

nyumom, how much later? and also does that include GSP also?

In the past, the acceptances were mailed out in batches, with GSP being among them. The rejections were mailed out about a week or so after the acceptances. I don't know if it's going to be a different process this year, but that's generally the way it has been in recent years. Good luck to everyone applying this year!

I thought if you applied ED that you were kind of (more or less) guaranteed to her by April 15th one way or another. A whole week seems unreasonable. Unfortunatly, it's hard to research on CC because so few "denied" applicants don't post after receiving a rejection. An it is tue in the past (according to numerous CC threads) that the GSP people heard earlier, but this year that DOES NOT seem to be the case.
