nyu ED admissions officers call school for Q1 grades?

Well, subject pretty much says it all. I heard a rumor that they along with other top schools do call up prospective applicants and ask for Q1 grades during their admissions review process. I actually hope they do because I owned up this quarter with straight A's! :D

Thanks,
supervillain

oh god i hope they don't...
my 3.29 gpa this quarter is not looking too good........
my C in calc.. yikes! i've never gotten a C before... oh well

i don't think they do because they don't want midyear grades.......so if they don't want 1st semester grades for RD people why would they want 1Q grades for ED people?

i hope they don't....this was the worst quarter of high school for me

well, they called my counselor yesterday asking for my Q1 grades...lol

I hope they ask Q1 grades for everyone, my grades aren't terrible, but not as good as they have been sophomore and junior years.

did NYU call the students who are strong candidates? or did they simply call every E.D. applicants?...I hope the first is correct

Not to be negative, but I think they would only ask for Q1 grades if they were really undecided about your fate. I would guess they want to let you in, but aren't convinced enough by your application so need some further evidence. Perhaps you are on the boarder and they want to make sure you are not slacking off; they wouldn't want to make an admissions mistake. Unless of course they ask for everyone's grades, which destroys my little theory.

oh no! :) now I am starting to worry. Did anyone get a call from NYU about Q1 here?
