@nyupleathe no they only need the css if u apply for finacial aid.
The email specifically says they require all applicants to fill out the fafsa if they are us citizens or permanent residents. It doesn’t make sense to me if you clearly know you will not qualify for aid but that is what it says.
im a permanent resident but I do not want aid because ik im not getting any and did not complete the fafsa/css profile i think i will be calling the nyu office tomorrow to make sure

The housing usually changes 2 hours before on the day of your decision. My sons changed within two hours of the decision. do not, I mean do not put all your eggs in the basket for the housing cheat…its not reliable…It changes to Freshman, Fall of the year of attendance…if you got in…Good Luck to all of you. By the way, NYU is very very challenging …definitely bring your A game and be prepared to take residence in the Bobst library…My son lives there…Again…Good Luck to all!!!
Did people apply for aid and STILL get the email??
At least one person reported that, but that should be a mistake. The email is intended for applicants who have not completed the fafsa.
I don’t know why they did not recieve my FAFSA. I double checked everything and it should be processed. I did recieve confirmation that they have my CSS. @emmataylor04 I think you not getting the email is actually a good thing as that means they recieved all your applications.
Yeah I got worried that I didn’t get the email but I did submit fafsa cause I thought they weren’t accepting me lol. Good to hear it was probably just a mistake.
Okay thats good because i still haven’t gotten any FA change or housing so i guess ill just have to wait till the day of decisions. 11 days! The stress is real
@emmataylor04 we r both from Texas right? I don’t think anyome from TX has those changes yet. I’m so stressed lol

@makhtx yes!im from texas too and i heard someone else from texas hasnt gotten anything so fingers cross its because they havent looked at it and not because of rejection (yikes) they should be finalizing everything though now
Anyone applied to Economics and Mathematics?
Okay guys i stayed up till the ungodly hours of 2:40am to read the nyu 2019 ed forum and people said that on decision day (the 15th) its a whole day process in which they mainly send out rejection in the morning (midnight-11ish) and anything after noon is an acceptance. It last TILL 5pm. So everyone should have results by 5 but u can get it before. They do it by school apparently
@Emmataylor04 unfortunately, that is when they sent email notifications. It is now all on the portal so I don’t think that will necessarily apply this year.
Can someone tell me what they see when they check their housing status and FA??? I see nonacxes available but not even the year 2017…does that mean I’ve been rejected and they didn’t even bother out 2017 in there?
@tchristofaro2 I applied for CAS ED1 for Economics and Mathematics!
@emmataylor04 That was true for my year, but last year NYU changed it. Decisions were published on Albert at 5pm EST on decision day.
