NYU ED Class of 2023: Rory Meyers College of Nursing APPLICANTS

Thread for NYU Rory Meyers applicants~ People applying to Rory Meyers Early Decision 1, please share your stats! I am pretty sure a lot of others would like to know. Good luck to everyone!

Just submitted my early decision 1 application to Rory Meyers! Anyone else out there applying?

@YoolmTim I just submitted my ED application for Rory Meyers! I hope I get in!

Hey! I finally met someone applying to the same school! Best of luck to you as well~ I’m hoping more people find this thread since the ED1 deadline is passed. I would love to know the people applying ED1 nursing this year. Rory Meyers just doesn’t provide enough stats hahah.

I agree! I could literally find nothing on the internet for the Meyers acceptance rate although I heard it’s one of NYU’s higher acceptance rates out of their colleges. I also couldn’t find anyone on Youtube that applied for NYU Meyers!

HAHA that was literally me! I actually reached out to random nursing students that get in last year through facebook lolol. I guess we just gotta wait now… I did early decision because my sat was the weakest part. I really hope the early decision pool is small since the 2022 class was only 69 students. I also heard acceptance was higher! If the get the higher acceptance rate (because it is a specialized school) and the 10% early decision boost, I really hope we have a high chance! I really hope we get in~~ NYU Meyers has been my dream school haha

Also I reached out to some nursing students that got in last year… Heres the stats!

Student 1: GPA- 3.7, AP- 4 More honors and DE than AP courses, no medical related extra-curricular, ACT-30
–Advice: “I know its difficult finding information for Rory Meyers. I still do not have much information. All I could tell you is that Nursing class of 2022 has only ~69 students. Im not sure if that is because it is so selective or because not a lot of people apply. They do not tell us”

Student 2: GPA- 3.80, AP-6, SAT- 1330, ED1, Low Income & First Gen. Background, strong extra-curricular. ED2

Student 3: GPA- 3.85, SAT- 1280, 3 year hospital internship, really good essay
–Advice: “Numbers seem like the only thing that matters, but they really aren’t for NYU. Theres more to your application. I can say for a fact that NYU is very holistic when viewing their applications. I really think the Why NYU essay and extra-curricular are very important”

Student 4 (GOT OFF WAITLIST): GPA- 3.9, SAT- 1300, college-level shadow, moderate extra-curricular and essay.
–Advice: “There are about 69 total students for Nursing class of 2022. Only 6 of them are guys (minority). Medical experience/interest really helps!!”

Student 5: “Early decision for nursing definitely will help your application! If you have at least a good gpa and strong extracurricular and show interest you should have a good chance. Show your interest!”

This is what I found from all my research and stuff haha. @Jennyli01 Thought you would like some statistics as well. Hope others can share their statistics not his forum too haha.

@YoolmTim Thanks for sharing these stats with me! It definitely makes me feel a little better about my chances! Hoping for the best! Also, I can’t believe there’s only two of us in this thread haha

Good luck you all on NYU Nursing. Feel free to post on Nursing 2023 Decisions thread as well so we can cheer you on

@readthetealeaves Thanks! Di you apply to NYU nursing too? I will update you guys on the thread! I cant believe I only know one other person applying to NYU nursing on college confidential… I thought I would be able to find more people applying and posting on this thread. But anyways good luck to all~

@Jennyli01 HAHA IK. Hope we can be able to attend NYU and actually meet up lol. 44 days to go!!

@YoolmTim It’s a deal! If we both get in then we’re definitely meeting up!

@Jennyli01 of course! Still no one else posted haha. I really really hope the applicant pool is small at least for Rory Meyers nursing since we are admitted through only the Meyers, Steinherdt, & Professional schools admission committee. The wait is actually dreading haha

@YoolmTim haha I love how there’s only us two on here because I’m hoping that actually means less competition for us! I hope we get in! There’s barely over a month until decisions!

Is anyone here doing the accelerated program? If so there is a thread with a lot of good information. Its on all-nurses.com if you search for NYU ABSN Spring 2019 it should be there! Best of luck!

Only @jennyli929 and I shared on this thread so far. We are applying to NYU Meyers for the traditional BSN track under early decision 1. I applied for the Global Public Health & Nursing BSN. I am not exactly sure how competitive this is compared to just the nursing track.

@jennyli929 Hey! Did you apply for financial aid for early decision 1 Meyers??

@YoolmTim Sorry for the late response! I’m just now seeing your question but yes, I did apply for financial aid for ED1 Meyers!

Decisions are almost out!! extremely nervous, but can’t wait! Anyone else out there apply for ED1 for Rory Meyers? As decision releases are made soon, I would like to gain a sense of the Rory Meyers ED1 pool… I only know 2 other applicants applying so far. I wonder if this nursing pool is small for ED this year. Feel free to post! You aren’t obligated to share ur stats haha. Bets of luck to everyone again!

Hi guys applied Ed to Rory Meyers as well! My goal is around 89 not weighted and sat is like 1490. Is that good enough? ?
