NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

You go into Albert, go into Financial Aid Summary, and see what it says.

Wait does everyone have the students and applicant tab?

@NYUhopeful1 You mean on Albert? If so I donā€™t see a tab called that.

Yea I have a student tab and an applicants tab. Must be the precollege account ;/

Same. I have both a Student and Applicant tab on the top.

My FA still has no change. That really feels badšŸ˜Ø. I have 3 or even more schoolmates are already accepted by ED I. So I wonder whether that will affects my admission. My SAT is 2040(CR660 MATH710 WR670), highest CR among students who apply NYU, including those who are accepted. So I think I should get the chance to be accepted. But that FA change thing really freaks me out.

Me too! My FA hasnā€™t changed either. And thereā€™s only 2 more weeks until decisionsā€¦so maybe it wonā€™t. But that doesnā€™t mean rejection necessarily from what Iā€™ve read.

Zhangliqian which school in NYU did you apply to? How good your SAT score is could depend on which school you are looking into.

Guys the fa change is a myth. I got it I think but some people who got it were still rejected and vice versa. Yea there is a correlation but many people that didnā€™t get the fa change actually got in

My theory is that they might do it in rounds because many colleges have a lot of rounds before admitting students. Some are accepted in the earlier rounds so they may get it earlier. And some that are accepted in the later rounds may get it later. Itā€™s just a theory tho :X

May the odds be ever in our favor :(

@outonalimb I apply CAS. Even if I cannot get into CAS, I still think I get a very big chance to LSP since some of my schoolmates are accepted by LSP. But my FA has no change

FA changes are rolling. Mine came about 3 weeks prior to the deadline but some people saw the change a few days prior to the deadline. Donā€™t freak out.

Does NYU start reviewing and deciding applications immediately after the app deadline?
I just find it really suspicious that I received an FA change just a week after Jan 1, so Iā€™m definitely not trusting the FA change correlation too much. :(

Yea I got mine very early too and I guess it depends how many applied from the region youā€™re from too

I donā€™t know how to feel about the FA change either. Mine still hasnā€™t changed and I feel like I am unnecessarily worrying about it. I donā€™t think any of you should worry either :)

Has anyone who applied to Steinhardt have their FA changed?

@lyndak Yeah, i applied to steinhardt

Anyone from stern get FA change? (besides NYUHopeful1 haha)

I havenā€™t had an FA change and I applied to CAS
