NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

what does your stern email end with?

Honestly, mine was never actually working
it just allowed me to log on
if htat makes any sense/

Mine ends with @stern.nyu.edu

And yea I only checked the stern one. I assumed the regular one would work as well

This is weird. When did you get your stern one assigned to you?

It wasn’t assigned. Mine was from precollege lol so it’s like a special case I guess

Ohhhhh kk. Did your email to NYU go through?

Do any of you know how late FA change can be made? Mine still shows ‘Award access not available’. I am really freaking out and checking it 100 times a day. Please let me know if anyone has an answer.

@koreansternship I’ve heard that it can change within a week of decisions which is by the end of this week. Since you don’t have an FA change, would you mind checking if you can access your global account?

Globesmart **

@chances1please i have tried yesterday and yes i can access to it. Is this suppose to be a good sign or something?

@koreansternhp I don’t think so, it’s just a little weird that we can access that type of account without being admitted. 1.5 more weeks! OMGGGG

Yeah I’m getting a feeling that the Globesmart thing doesn’t really mean anything.

Ok, wow! So much new information. Um, my nyu email is working (I tried emailing myself and it went through) and my Globesmart is also working. However, I still haven’t gotten an FA change. Also, in Student Center, I have a hold for my FA - it says “Non FA Eligible Form of Study”
I’m so confused

@NYUhopeful1 so you only had a stern email because you did a stern summer program?

Yea I got the stern email from the precollege program. And I can’t access my regular NYU email :frowning: can other people access it?

Wait it says on the fa place “Select the appropriate aid year above to view your award information. If the aid year is not activated, your award information has yet to be determined.” So that means people with the FA change had their financial aid determined. So why would they even bother checking the fa for someone who wasn’t accepted? What’s bothering me is that my nyu email was disabled :(

And this new cc layout is confusing :/

Where is my change :frowning: ahh. stressing out. Really wish this whole FA change didn’t exist and NYU was as subtle as almost every other college in the country. The teasing
:frowning: best of luck to all of you though!!

@Sternhopeful2018, I saw your stats and they were better then mine. So i don’t know if the fa change thing actually works. But also it depends on who is looking at the application, and some might make arbitrary decisions

Wait, how exactly do we access our NYU email? It’s from Globesmart and “My Settings” where it shows this XXX###@nyu.edu e-mail address? Do we put that email instead of our NYU ID when we log in?
