NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

@chances1please Is that true?! So since I am Korean I don’t have to check my financial status? I actually didn’t even apply for it but this atmosphere here makes me paranoiac.

im just curious… i feel like most kids on this forum have gotten it… but i dont think you need to worry being an international student the fa change correlation is not as strong…

i have my doubts about fa change. lol

@koreansternhp yea I don’t think internationals get the change :p

@rowand I think @NYUhopeful1 is the same. Both of you attended the precollege program

fafsa emailed my mom telling her she was missing a detail yesterday (since one of the other colleges that accepted me said they were unable to process my financial info). i got the FA change, but now i’m just wondering if it was a glitch since they would be unable to process my financial info if my fafsa application was missing something? :(

@sternhopeful2018 Is it definite? I just want to make sure you know.

@koreansternhp I wish you the best of luck! Many people in the ED I thread seem to have gotten it in the last 3-5 days so keep your hopes up

@rodrigo9 it doesn’t seem like a lot. When I visited, I asked how many people apply ED II and they said it is a really small pool (at least class of 2017). My theory about Stern is that there would probably be more Stern applicants ED II than there would be for other schools. Here there is koreanstern, outonalimb sternhopeful nyuhopeful, possibly a few others, and myself.

Oh no, Im actually not for stern but for steinhardt, But yeah I agree, there seems to be a lot more Stern applicants for ED II than for the other schools.

@stjohnson @outonalimb all of us have received the fa change. that is what makes me nervous about its accuracy. it would be dope if we all got in though. and yea there will be tons for stern cuz of rejected/deferred wharton applicants.

@Sternhopeful2018 congratulations man! You deserved it! And well judgement day is almost here!

But sad part is that Hayden is closed for this year which is where I wanted to stay if I got in :(

thats beat… i wanted to be in hayden too…

@rodrigo9 I mean only like 4/5 … and from what it seems… we’re all pretty darn qualified… we’ll see.

@outonalimb maybe it was chances1please that was stern, sorry.

@rodrigo9 I second that. So far, one of the FA rejects was international, so he couldn’t’ve receieved FA. Perhaps he was mistaken/lying and then maybe, the other kid from NJ was mistaken/lying also (trying to stay optimistic lol)

I also think many Wharton rejects did regular because they didn’t want to limit themselves from: Ivy’s & others. There seem to be a lot of prestige-oriented students these days who’d rather go there over Stern, even though Stern is on par with Harvard and Wharton for Business, especially Finance.

I am one of the Wharton Deferrals :'c not gunna lie… but I was forced to ED I there because it’s my brother’s Alma Mater…

@rodrigo well there there’s still 3rd north!

And @stjohnson international students can actually recieve fa. Nyu has a limited amount but it’s still aid

Oh really? I thought the no-FA for internationals thing was one of the main reasons why international students are more likely accepted into universities (because they’re guaranteed to pay the full tuition)

@chances1please im like you for wharton… hahah

@stjohnson well international students can apply for aid to most universities and most have done fa for them but they’re very unlikely to get it. Most international students don’t apply for fa because then their application is seen as need aware at NYU. Wait I think I just got something bout the theory lol what if people that did not apply for aid automatically get the change because the fa office did not have to review it. So even if they got rejected they would still get the change because they didn’t apply for it, so their fa was automatically calculated to 0. Anyone know if the people with the fa change that got rejected applied for aid? Thoughts? @outonalimb @sternhopeful2018 @rodrigo @chances1please and anyone else I forgot

@NYUhopeful1 I didn’t apply for aid I only got the change last week, maybe not even
