we need to take the last few hours and discuss maybe what other alternatives we have for schools? I’ll start:

I was accepted into Tulane Honors with an amazing scholarship and Millsaps college… Deferred Wharton …

My choices after NYU are Carnegie Mellon (Tepper)- I did their celebration for diversity weekend and I was clerly amazed, then Swarthmore College and my next choice (now a safety) would be Tulane Honors. I also applied to Cornell and UMich and Emory.

I want to be an investment banker anddd I live in Texas!

@chances1please i want to go in to IB too but the hours are too hard. My first choice is to make my own business by finding a partner at nyu or go in to asset management or IB

okay, normally, I didn’t looked at my application status until a friend got me to do it. I noticed that everything on my status has changed. Is that significant?

@VioletAvenger I don’t want to bring up the subject of the FA change theory again but regarding one of your first posts about having debunked the myth in your Facebook group… Do you have significant evidence that people who received the FA change were rejected? Or was it just a light discussion with its conclusion determined by secondhand information from other accepted applicants?

@outonalimb for example, under program, before it said College of Arts and Sciences… now it says Liberal Studies. Under descriptions, before said undecided and now it says CORE Programs.

@nervouskitty I’m not sure what @outonalimb will say but we’ve had cases like this be brought to this thread’s attention during the past week. I believe we’ve come to the tentative conclusion that being switched from CAS to LSP on Albert means that you’ve been rejected from CAS indefinitely, and are currently under review for admission into LSP. Having said this, your status change does not mean you’ve been accepted into LSP.

But again, these are our assumptions and nothing is factual.

We came to this conclusion because Shawn and the NYU Admissions Board has constantly stated in the past that your Albert account CANNOT tell you whether you’ve been accepted or not. This is why the FA change is a debated matter.

@NYUhopeful1 I’m at school right now. It’s currently 11:40 PST, and I can’t stop checking this thread on CC. I think it’s a coping mechanism of some sort now… I just feel like: o. m. g.

@lyndak if you have school tomorow it will be horrible. I have it tomorrow and I’m probably gonna get my phone taken away many times through the day
