@fenway1, your extracurriculars are pretty solid and having good recs will be helpful. However, your GPA and SAT scores are low for NYU (3.7 and 1480 are the average, respectively), so it’s going to come down to your essays. I’d say it’s a bit of an uphill battle because of your low stats, but since you seem promising in the humanities, you might get offered a spot is LSP. Also, if you’re a minority or have an especially compelling background, that will be helpful. Good luck!

hey guys, I applied to NYU stern ED 1! The admissions officer came to my school and told us that the notification date this year is set for the 12th. This is not a rumor they told me in person lol. Anyway good luck to you guys! NYU has been my dream school as well

The notification date is earlier than the 15th because they usually release it on a Thursday! I personally think it is because they want to be able to answer emails and phone calls in office the day after (Friday) decisions come out due to angry parents or applicants? Last year was on the 13th (a Thursday as well). The admissions officer told me that the date is set for the 12th but not to tell anyone because it could change the last min if things come up.
