(its a mix of reaches/matches)

also NHS! (doesnt make much of a diff but its another thing…)

Based on your stats, I would say that you would have a better chance at BU ED. I will post some numbers below for you (these are from Princeton Review, I am not sure how current these statistics are).

BU stats:
Average High School GPA: 3.45
% with GPA 3.75 of higher: 24%
% with GPA 3.50 - 3.74: 26%
% with GPA 3.25 - 3.49: 19%
SAT
Critical Reading Middle 50%: 580 - 670
Math Middle 50%: 600 - 690
Writing Middle 50%: 590 - 680

NYU:
Average High School GPA: 3.6
% with GPA 3.75 of higher: 36%
% with GPA 3.50 - 3.74: 36%
% with GPA 3.25 - 3.49: 16%
SAT
Critical Reading Middle 50%: 620 - 720
Math Middle 50%: 630 - 720
Writing Middle 50%: 620 - 720

Based on the numbers, BU seems to be a better match than NYU. Base your decision on where you want to go: Boston or New York?

thank you so much!

anyonee elsee???

would anyone also know if id have a shot at a small straight med program like SUNY Brooklyn + Downstate?

they are looking for:
GPA: 90 and up
SAT: 1200

1200 (assuming you mean on a 1600 scale)
It pretty easy to make.

and you should have a 90 GPA with a 3.75 should be ok.
I calculated it out, and how it is possible to get a 3.7 GPA in ONE semester?
You would need a GPA of 5.08 for the semester.

But anyways.
You’ll have a better shot at BU if you apply ED, NYU too.
Get your SAT up.
Right now they’re slight-mid reaches.
I know someone who went to NYU from out last graduating class.
He was ranked number 3 in the class with a 4.00.
I think someone else applied, not some slouch either(maybe top 10% i’m not sure), and got rejected. Although I could be making her stats look better, or Im not even sure if she did apply.
But I’m really not sure.

I would write a well written essay, raise my SAT scores, find a few four leaf clovers and hope for the best.

i’d sat bu ed would be better for you. but it comes down to what you want and what you like better- nyc or boston.

thank you SOOO much!!
and im looking for four leaf cloverss :/

If you apply to BU General Studies ED you have a great shot at getting in, but look carefully at the program before you decide to do so. The reason the BU average gpa is lower than it should be (in my opinion) is because the General Studies school takes much lower gpa/sat/act than the other schools at BU.

wait can u explain that general studies program a little more? whats the point of it…

BU would be a better match for you but if you’re not sure if you really really want to goto which then dont ED and RD both.

[College of General Studies | Schools & Colleges | Academics | Boston University](http://www.bu.edu/academics/schools-colleges/cgs/index.html)

Check this out re BU College of General Studies (CGS).

guys what do u think about BC??

idk about the med programs at either school, although nyu is better overall.

you dont have a shot a BC

ahh ok then barnard?
