What would you like to do after college? What do you want to study while in college? This will be very telling to where exactly you should apply.

Hey thanks for the reply… 100% looking to go into business… I’m just not sure if I want to gamble with stern…I want to go in the city so if I don’t get in I would most likely go to Baruch or yeshiva which I believe I could do better

Your ECs are nice and the Gpa is alright but that SAT score is keeping you back.

If you get 1300 for M+CR you are about 140 points below the Stern average so that will be against you. For CAS that 1300 will be somewhere in the middle 50% so you fare a better chance.

However if I were you I would apply to Stern since you are sure you want to go into business and if you do end up getting in to NYU CAS you will always wonder whether or not you could have gotten into Stern.

even for CAS a 1300 is under the middle 50%. for CAS try a 1360 & ED.

i think you should study for the SATs and ED at stern, you clearly want to do business. and it really is not easy to internally transfer from CAS to Stern.

I think you should apply for regular admission. It will be slightly easier to get in and a better chance with the waiting lists.

Try to improve your GPA and ACT score. Although, I think ACT is more important. I got accepted into NYU even with the a bad SAT score. Math + CR was a 1280. Although, my GPA was a 4.2. BTW I got into CAS. I think Stern is tougher.
Try applying regular decision into CAS and then transferring into Stern, although doing that might be challenging.

I know a girl who had a similar SAT score as mine and she got into Stern. However, she had good SAT II scores and good GPA as well.

Thanks for all the replies… If I can get a 31 let’s say on the ACT, is it worth it to put my chances at NYU at all for ED stern? How does yeshiva/baruch compare? Thanks again
