I didn’t apply for financial aid and the page switched for me too o.0

@collegebound7895 really? Oh no…T_T

@Leilala don’t freak out though… i don’t think that NYU would hint like that… we’re honestly only going to know on December 18th… waiting sucks =/

@collegebound7895 I’m honestly freaking out now… I don’t think that NYU would hint it on purpose, but… you know :’(

dont worry! NYU most likely wouldnt change anything regarding the decision prior to the actual notification date

ONLY 9 DAYS! I was in nyc yesterday and it killed me

@Leilala don’t worry! I have faith in you, you can do this! my parents said it doesn’t mean anything. i’m not getting my hopes up for anything until december 18th cuz it’d suck to be rejected

@collegebound7895 Thank you!
though the financial aid thing almost makes me cry 'cuz everyone’s page changed, I won’t give up! 9 days =)

@leilala you said you were an international student so maybe that has something to do with it! Don’t worry, I think you have a huge chance of getting in so I don’t think it means anything!

@leilala don’t worry! As much as I’d like to believe that the financial aid thing DOES mean something (because it changed for me), I know it means absolutely nothing. I would not worry, especially because you did not request financial aid. Like Leggggy said, we’ll know on the 18th, and only on the 18th… NYU would never give us hints like this.

@leggggy @ohdogg Thank you for encouraging me! I’m a permanent resident, different from both citizen and international student. Anyway, I will stop trying to find any hint before 18th. Let’s wait for the official notification email!

Mine changed to “no self service” this afternoon. I guess the whole conspiracy now doesn’t have to do with whether or not you applied for financial aid or not, it’s that this is only available for students that will get accepted. I don’t think this is the case, but is there anyone who still has “no financial aid information” under their financial aid summary?

Basically, the (probably untrue) idea is that if you got the no self service, you’re likely to be accepted, and if you have “no information available at this time” then you’re not. But does anyone still have the latter? If not, then I think we can pretty much debunk this theory.

@leilala you should check again this afternoon and see if it just changed for you too.

No changes for me yet… This is getting nervous.

Okay, you guys, I feel a bit relieved now! My Financial Aid page finally changed from “No financial aid available this year” to the self-service message.

I am tempted to call but I almost don’t want to know the answer

Is this for real?!

I just checked my “Application Status” and all of sudden, it says my Program has changed to LIBERAL STUDIES (aka LSP? I did apply to LSP as well).

Just days earlier, it said on my Application status that I was a Journalism major, but now that has been replaced with “LIBERAL STUDIES”. What does this mean?! I am pretty sure that it did NOT say Liberal Studies last week. It said my intended major was Journalism just earlier, but now, that has changed to Liberal Studies.

WAIT! On my Application Status tab, it now says that my program is “Liberal Studies” and the description is “Core Program”. It USED TO say “Journalism” and “CAS”. I did check the box saying I would like to be deferred to LSP if I didn’t get into CAS, but does this mean that I am in it now? Or does it mean that I am just now being considered for that and there is the possibility for me to still get rejected. I am freaking out right now. I think this bad since I wasn’t good enough for CAS so now I probably won’t get into LSP.

Mine didn’t change… oh well…

@HelloParis @Correkid Last year, those whose status changed to Liberal Studies all got in to LSP. It’s a pretty good sign!

@helloparis We are in the same boat! I submitted my response and read your response and it’s basically the exact same. AHHHHHHHH what does this mean???
