i just broke out in tears because my friend didnt get in to wharton …god knows what ill be like if i get rejected from nyu

Has anyone tried the website parchment.com where it predicts your admissions chances? haha i know it seems so dumb but for me it says around 60% so i’ll take it

HI GUYS! I want to be chanced. I have a 3.5 GPA with a really big upward trend junior year. 2100 on my SATs. School president. ~200 hours of community service. Captain of a sport. Pretty decent essays I think. I did poorly overall in AP Bio but received a 4 on the exam. I am an PSAT commendation recipient. What are my chances at CAS Pre-med track? Thanks! Best of luck guys!

@anoelle

Don’t rely on Parchment, it doesn’t take into account which school at NYU you are applying to and its info is really shady. It says I have a 99% chance of acceptance, but I am 100% I have more like <= 50%. PS. I applied to Penn ED and Stern RD.

Hello everybody, I did not fill out my CSS profile and I applied ED Steinhardt MCC! My financial aid thing on Albert says 2014 and that it is not available. Does anybody know if this will effect admissions? I am getting very nervous. Goodluck everyone!!!

@jreims, does it say not available or “no self service access for this aid year.” i did not apply for FA either and have the same thing, except mine says “no self service”. it doesn’t mean anything one way or another from what i know.

Did anyone here apply ED to the Global Liberal Studies program?

@Leggggy Yes, mine says that. I know NYU is need-blind so it shouldn’t effect whether I get in or not, but at this point I am freaking out about every little hint!

Actually, according to their site “The majority of the financial aid we award is need-based and the average financial aid award per student last year was nearly $26,000.” : [Financial Aid](<a href=“Aid and Costs”>Aid and Costs)

interview saturday for the anbryce scholarship >_> soooo nervous and i cant find any information on it :|

@Zimfan lol, “need blind” means a school doesn’t take into account how poor or rich you are when deciding whether or not your rejected. This is particularly important for NYU since it’s the most expensive school in the country… It means that if you’re really poor, and no way can you afford NYU, they won’t take that into account when deciding whether or not your accepted…

They give out “need based financial aid” which means they only award FA to people who are poor… DUH, why would they give FA to someone who is rich and can totally afford NYU?

@ithascometothis…Good Luck with your interview!!! here’s a link to the nyu site that you may have already seen but if not, you should review it before saturday!!

[NYU Law - Scholarship Programs: AnBryce Scholarship](http://www.law.nyu.edu/admissions/jdadmissions/scholarships/anbryce/index.htm)

@ithascometothis Good-luck! You’ll do a fantastic job I bet! I hope you get the scholarship!

@ithascometothis so are you basically accepted into NYU and just waiting to see what happens with this scholarship? good luck!

@nyu2017 @HelloParis @leggggy ahh thanks guys! they didn’t mention if i got accepted or not, but my hopes are up there now. the interview’s by phone with the founder, board & an nyu associate. my nerves are really being put to the limit lol

@ithascometothis-Good luck!am sure youll ace it…

@ithascometothis what school did you apply to? Are you a law school applicant? Are your stats like insanely amazing?

@Correkid Steinhardt for MCC. My stats are decent, but my essays are what helped me I believe

Does anyone know if we are getting our decision through mail or e-mail?

@133320 e-mail. the mail will come later.
