@fdsjaif - no, everyone gets their decision within a 24 hour timespan of Dec 15.

And you will definitely get into Stern. Your business experience, SAT, and grades make you an excellent candidate. You could probably make the BPE program there easily too.

Hey guys! I’m an international student! I was working on other stuff so my SAT scores are as low as 1700. However, that’s the only bad thing in my application the rest is perfect- 3.8 GPA, involved in alotttt of leadership activities, A-level Maths, IGCSEs!

Do you think that i might get cut off just for my sat scores???
also, doesnt the fact that im an international student make them more flexible for the sats-more tolerant on the scores

No, because international students applying to Stern are so competitive that they usually have higher scores than regular US applicants - 2200+. 1700 is way too low, because even if you got a 500 on CR and a 500 on W that is only a 700M, which shouldn’t be affected by where you live (math score)…therefore, they would be more tolerant if you had like 780M or something. Maybe you did, but that would mean you got 400s in your CR and W…not going to work, since the bottom 25% SATs were from 1900-2050.

Just kidding. I just went over my common app supplement again & there was a box for “would you like to be considered for other colleges or programs if we feel you are a better fit?” (& above it was a description of lsp) so I did check yes for lsp for tisch

At my MT audition a current freshman at the new studio on broadway who was helping said that he was notified of his acceptance on december 13th. He also said that a lot of his friends received freshmen orientation info before their actual acceptance letter. But I don’t know if that’ll be true again.

I believe that’s only for Tisch and/or audition based programs and LSP, since they are really dependent on the committee that handles the auditions and LSP is a small pool.

and @ cliffhanger33, kids at my school got in with around a 40/45 for predicted. But my school is pretty competitive in Asia.

Also, could someone dispel the rumors once and for all? Is it true international applicants compete in a separate pool from US citizens? I am a US citizen living abroad, so hopefully I get placed in the US citizens pool as I hear from others that it’s slightly less competitive than that of the international pool.

I’d be absolutely crushed if I were to get declined, especially considering that I still need to do a lot of work on my regular decision apps that are due January 1st.

I didn’t receive the nyu package that everyone was talking about earlier in this thread in the mail and I applied ED1. Is that a really bad sign?

I was thinking that because you can apply directly to LSP that all the admission decisions will come out at the same time. I’m also worried that they won’t defer anyone from applicant pools down. I’m so so so worried right now.
