@cheetah25 I applied to MCC too! :)

MY PORTFOLIO BOX STILL ISNT CHECKED OFF AARGRHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHH!!! IM LOSING MY MIND this is awful! should i call!? who do i call?! aah

So, I got my fin.aid email also, because my stupid father won’t complete the non-custodial parent profile. It says that if it is not filled out be the 23rd I can’t receive any form of aid from NYU not only this year but other years as well. Not to take this completely the wrong way, but does that mean they’re considering me for admission still? Would they send this email if I were flat out rejected?

Everyone who is seeking FA must fill out that form to be considered^

when i asked about it on november 15th, this is the email i got back:

The admissions office forwarded your message to me.
Your portfolio was submitted successfully on Slideroom and
is available for review.

Good luck with your application

…but it still isnt checked off. Should i call the office of undergraduate admissions?

I got the same message about my standardized test. They said my file is complete and not to worry, but still unchecked.

Is the office closed on weekends? I dont want to email my regional adcom again, dont wna annoy her

I dont know, i guess i might as well try and call cause it cant hurt… but hey how did you find out who your regional adcom is/how to contact her and all that?

Oh for the love of god the office is only open from 9am-5pm mon-fri, meaning i have the rest of the weekend to obssess and panic about my portfolio. Im gonna try emailing the lady who sent me that email i posted above…i feel bad bugging her but this is a matter of life and death haha

Well im International in Canada. NYU website specifies who the adcoms are for each region. Also, if you email the office, they will automatically forward your email to your regional adcom, so the lady who replied you should be your regional adcom

I’m probably going to email them again about my standardized test box too

@whowantsme
Me too me too! And I turned in my waiver form the next day because I don’t know where my father is since I was borned. After I receive the email I keep taking it the wrong way, and I don’t want to get my hopes too high because if I got denied I will be dropped really hard. I call them to make sure everything is all right but financial aid office told me that the undergraduate admission office have not send them the admitted students yet, they are not on that state yet.

When I first got the email I think through it logically… what is the point of receiving emails from financial aid asking for noncustodial parents info if u r getting deny… But u know… nobody knows until 15

I only got the general college board email about the noncustodial profile, not any email from nyu :(… do you think that means i’m not getting in?

This AND I didn’t get that brochure thingy in the mail…

the days are going by so s l o w l y

Who cares about the brochure, doesn’t mean anything.

the brochure is geared specifically toward prospective applicants to NYU. it has NOTHING to do with whether you’ll be accepted or not.

I’m more worried about the noncustodial email, I got one from college board (for all my colleges), but not a specific one from nyu…

No it doesn’t mean anything even my friend who have not even submit her application yet got the brochure…

@sohappy1 when did u receive the email from collegeboard

So my audition box still isn’t checked. The email I got from tisch said that,

“The box will eventually appear as checked (perhaps as early as next week) but until then, don’t fret.”

But that was sent over thanksgiving break, so it said as early as nov 28… I’m confused because it says “UNTIL THEN, don’t fret” so should I call since it has been 2 weeks now & it’s still unchecked? If so, what is the number I’m suppose to call?
