just watched this video from NYU class of 2015 fb page! i cant wait anymore!

I also did ED1 and I just created an account so I can post my decision on Thursday. Like the rest of you guys, I feel like its a hell of a wait, but hopefully for all of us, itll be worth it. I applied to Tisch for Film and Television Production. I think Ive only seen one other person on here that applied. Good luck to us all!

Welcome !!!

I also did ED1 for Tisch - Film Production and up to now have been watching from the sidelines. As my handle indicates I’m not from the U.S. Hopefully we all find out before the weekend.

So today I had my NYU HEOP info session…they moved my notification date to sometime next week. I’m panicking even more.

^@HeyleyC
Whatt? Really? I’d be so bummed out if they moved my date… we’ve all waited for too long already :(

That sucks…

I hope I get my decision on Thursday…

sorry, what’s HEOP stand for?

SAT (1600): 1310
SAT (2400): 1980

Hey guys, I checked my Albert application status today and noticed that my intended program of study changed from economics(which I applied for) to Global Liberal Studies. Is this some form of glitch or did they consider me for a different major?

@aou113
From what I’ve heard on this thread, it’s supposedly a glitch. If you go back a few pages, someone spoke to admissions and posted a copy of what the officer said about the GLS issue.

HEOP is the higher education opportunity program. It’s a program for NY residents who have a certain income. I received an invitation from them on monday, and today was my info session/interview. I was so excited when I was chosen to be invited because I feel like i don’t stand a chance in the pool of applicants. They only invited about 8 of us. the women said that admissions considered us to be strong applicants with a low economic background, so what HEOP does is help to pay at least 80% of tuition and fees. The only catch is that we begin classes in July,(for 6 weeks) and we have to attend workshops and tutoring for the next 4 years. She kept telling us to keep May 19th open for orientation. Not once did she mention IF you get accepted, she just kept telling us to keep that day open. So they collected our parents 2010 tax returns and CSS profile, now if we qualify economically then they will recommend us back to admissions, which is why I’ll be hearing back from them next week. (before the holidays) She just told me to call directly to the HEOP director for admission decision if we didn’t receive it. So now I’m crossing my fingers. There were only 8 of us there, and supposedly they accept 250 applicants through HEOP. I’ll be praying every single night

If that’s the case though, then it seems like tons of people are being placed in LSP.

Ok, thanks. I guess we’ll just have to wait two more days to find out.

What are your stats aou? I ask only because if your application fits the standard LSP profile (average GPA and below average SAT, average SAT and below average GPA, and slightly below average SAT and GPA) then it may not be a mistake.

The admissions rep’s response seemed a bit generic. I’m not sure it his/her response may have been just to make sure LSP admits aren’t told their results before the 15th. The only reason I think this might be true is because most of the people whose statuses have changed fit the standard profile for an LSP admit.

We’ll see in 2 days, I guess.

i am officially freaking out.

Well I have a 86 gpa(mostly because of the 77 I got in freshmen year), 2100 sat, 780 math 2, 680 chem sat 2, a government internship and a few extracurriculars.

and what page is the admission officer’s response?
