I’m pretty angry meghan1994 heard back from a coach and I didn’t… and no offense I feel that I am better qualified. I just wish I would hear SOMETHING

@HeyleyC
was that info session something they invited you to? i requested for HEOP assistance and im pretty sure I qualify, but I never received any info about a session…

There you go, aou. You have a below average GPA but an above average SAT. Seems likely that you were accepted to LSP. This is nothing more than speculation though.

@bronxboy360 we were all invited. The women said we were one of the lucky ones and she told our parents to begin bragging. haha. But yeah, HEOP is invite only, if you go to the NYU HEOP page it mentions the only way in is to be invited. Which makes sense because at the info session they collect your tax returns and any other supporting documents that support that you come from a low income family.

@HeyleyC oh I see. now im just really nervous cause Im pretty sure I qualified but wasnt invited. Now im really nervous and feeling horrible. Do you think its dependent on school though? What school did you apply to?

When I spoke to an admissions counselor after my status was changed from Art History to LSP, they said it was undoubtedly a glitch in Albert. They pulled up my application and said that it was still for Art History.

and to be honest I’m not up to par with the rest of the applicants. She said we were chosen because she saw that we were still very strong applicants with great potential; I swear my EC’s and Essays put me up to par because my GPA is no where a 4.0 and I definitely did not receive a 2400 on the SAT, nor did i take AP’s or Honor classes…i simply kept busy during high school, for instance this year I’m taking 14 classes. Not because I was lacking credits, but because I wanted to.

@heyleyC
eeep! I know I definitely qualify for that. My family’s income is less than 10,000 a year lmao. Now I’m freaking out . . . HOW WILL I PAY FOR NYU?!?!?! X___X’

@bronxboy360 I applied to Gallatin

Is Stern a flat out Accept/reject? No deferrals or LSP or anything else?

@tidalbound, i know what you’re talking about. my father only makes 25,000 a year.

and i didn’t even know that you had to be invited to HEOP. i found out monday when the women called my house ( i wasn’t even home, it was 6 pm and i was still in the yearbook office!) I called her from my cellphone and she put me on hold because she was on the phone with another prospective HEOP student. Then she finally gave me her full attention and told me I was invited, she told me what i needed to bring and gave me a brief background of the programs ( i did a ton of research for months, so i already knew all the info) she gave a date and time and then sent me an email confirmation.

and the rest is history, it started at 3, i was out of there an hour and a half later and now i’m beginning to panic because my notification date has been pushed back. NYU better give me a nice Christmas gift.

AC24- Officially I don’t think it is, but that’s basically the policy.

Stern is straight up Accept or Reject, NYU also doesn’t do deferrals, and you can’t get LSP’d if you apply to Stern.

Heyyyyyy thats awesome more film people finalllyyy! @Bronxboy360 and @FromCanada i applied for tisch film and tv also! hopefully we all see each other next year:) did you guys upload your film portfolios to youtube? cause if so we should all take a look at eachothers films!

Oh and do you mind posting yall’s stats?

NYU International rep said I should be expecting decision later this week after I asked them about my standardized test box not being check off. How nerve-racking.

My status stayed the same foreverrr… I just stared at it the whole day… Good lucky guys one day… We can do this

One dayyyyyyy good luck everyone!

1 day 18 hours

Good luck everyone
