NYU ED2 2019 Discussion/Decision Thread

Also some people have reported getting the FA change after getting admitted so don’t worry!!

So international students have nothing to do with the FA change? At All?
Ugh that means I have to wait out the 26 days we have left. 26 DAYS!

Hi guys, the financial aid change doesn’t mean much at all! I was admitted through nyu’s ed1 round and I didn’t get the change until after the admitted emails were sent out. Please don’t stress out!!

Ah best of luck! And I applied for the liberal arts programme which means that I can transfer to any nyu school at the end of the two years @boogapenguin‌

Hey guys! I just got my NYU portal activated today…and I sent in my FAFSA yesterday. I’ve been hearing a lot about this FA change thing and under my financial aid tab it just says “award access not available” with no year to click on at all. Does that mean they haven’t receieved my FASFA yet or something? I’m hoping to get this change D: btw im a Tisch applicant

@kyokokun‌ I believe that is the FA change. At least that is what mine shows. Are you a domestic applicant?

Is it? Someone before sent a photo of the FA change and mine doesn’t look like that O: Yup i’m domestic

@Rahshe‌ are you international though? And what program did you apply to?

@kyokokun‌ Well i think it has to show 2016. But who knows haha! Hopefully you did or will get the change

@DreamingOfNYU101‌ Thank you! I would do that program however you can transfer to any school BUT Stern. Best of luck to you too

The suspense is killing me sighsss

not yet…being nervous…but there’s still more than twenty days to go…wish us best luck…

btw I am a international applicant

No you can transfer to stern if you get enough credits! You just have to apply for an internal transfer @boogapenguin‌

@DreamingOfNYU101 Yes but getting an internal transfer to Stern is nearly impossible. At the tour the admissions rep said internal transfer to rate to stern is about 2%. Nearly everyone from LSP goes into CAS after completing their 2nd year.

its not nearly impossible - so many of my friends were able to transfer into stern from lsp! @shady16
does anybody know whether you are able to change the location of your freshman year? i think i put london as my first choice but i kinda want to do my freshmen year in new york

Well the admission counselor did say 2% internal transfer rate so it is nearly impossible.Good luck to you either way!!
You shd email admissions ASAP if you want to change your location

do you think so? i put new york as my 2nd campus of interest

It really depends on whether or not they have reviewed your application already. I would email admissions@nyu.edu
right now. I emailed them once they responded in less than an hour! It is definitely not impossible

@rainydayzzzz‌ I am a domestic student–NY. I applied to CAS, but was admitted to LSP.

did you get to pick where you spent your freshmen year? @rahshe
