NYU Education

I have a question. NYU is my first choice and i am really set on becoming a teacher or lawyer. The Steinhardt School of Education is really good for an education major. My questions are

Is it hard to get into and how is the teacher program itself

I am really going back and forth between teacher and lawyer as my family has a pedigree for really successful laywers, can i still get into law school with and education major?

Don't go to the Steindhardt school. Just apply to CAS. Law schools prefer liberal arts majors, not vocational things. If you want to be a teacher, you'll still have that option out of CAS.

Possibly true, but I think GSP can give Steinhardt a run for it's money.

GSP doesn't matter.. they get CAS degrees just like anyone else

True, but there is a GSP stigma. The joke is that GSP stands for "generally stupid people". Of course it's only a joke and nobody means anything offensive by it, but the stigma is still there.

Sticks and stones...

Do you think a business major is negatively looked at by law schools?

I do not think a business major is looked at negatively because Stern is so highly regarded and because so much of law is related to business.

Accounting and law is a very common (and profitable) combination.
