The acceptance rate may be 75% but the level of applicants is superb – on par with the rest of NYU. The problem is that not many apply to it solely based on the fact that its acceptance rate is so high, which many believe to correlate with a poor program, which simply isn’t the case. Just a little digging on the NYU website shows that it is rated #3 for best value engineering program in the country, despite NYU’s being one of the most expensive universities in the US.
