NYU Engineering good or bad?

I’m an alumnus of the Polytechnic Institute (back when it was called that). The education I received was adequate, and the degree is ABET accredited. It’s not about the school, but what you do in your career that matters. If you look at sites that track potential earnings over a career like payscale.com, Polytechnic was one of the highest ranked engineering schools for the median salary of its graduates. I believe it actually ranked higher than MIT. A lot of it is that most of its graduate work in the NYC area, so the salaries are higher. I believe the school has improved since I attended in the late 70s, early 80s. Facilities are much nicer, but it no longer is affordable to many people.
