nyu essays...

<p>so there what is the difference between the last two essays on the common app supp for nyu? i mean i know the obvious one's. but, should i not write about academics in the first one because that is what the second one is focusing on?</p>

<p>i originally wrote my first one saying only that EL DOctorow is there and i love his writing and he inspired me to start writing and how id be able to learn from him and read his original works. i ended it by saying that he's not the only reason nyu is a good match for me, hes just one reason it's a great match for me. [i dont know if i can use this essay, bc it basically says, i only like nyu bc doctorow is there, which is untrue.]</p>

<p>any thoughts?</p>

<p>Well you can go to a school other than NYU and still read his original works...give a genuine reason why you want to be there...mention him as an inspiration and maybe include that they've got a strong program in what you're interested in, etc.</p>

<p>i meant, he donated his manuscripts, first editions, etc. to the nyu library, lol.</p>
