What sort of major events occur on campus every year?

It varies from among NYU colleges and your year of study. The only major university wide event I know for all NYU students regardless of year is Welcome week.

violet ball, which is a university-wide formal.

greek week for members of greek life.

strawberry festival happens in late spring right before finals. NYU shuts down the street and hands out strawberry related things and food.

around graduation, there’s grad alley, a big festival around washington square park, for graduates and their families.

welcome week!

midnight breakfast, during finals week.

every school has their own semi-formal. i know Stern’s was at capitale this year.
