NYU: Experience with Results from a nationally accredited exam

Hi there!

I was just wondering whether someone was familiar with submitting in results from a nationally accredited exam for your NYU application.

I am planning to apply to NYU (Stern), and of course I'll take the ACT and submit that, but maybe it could give me a better chance.

Here's their official statement about the matter:
Results from a nationally accredited exam that is considered locally to signify the completion of secondary education, is administered independently of the student’s school, and has been approved by the NYU Office of Undergraduate Admissions (approved options are listed below) -> huge list.

I'm from the Netherlands if someone was wondering (:

Cheers

I thought it did NOT apply to Stern?

For CAS, you’d need to have at least 7.5 if not 8 on your VWO. Actual specialty doesn’t matter, however it needs to be roughly aligned with what you want to study ie. the Culture&Society specialty would not be good if you’re hoping to major in math…

Thanks for the info MYOS1634. Are you from the Netherlands yourself?

I’m doing the Nature&Engineering specialty with Biology and Management & Organisation, so there’s no problem with that.

I thought the rule applied to all colleges though.

No I’m not from the Netherlands.
Email Admissions to see if the rules applies to all colleges, or only to some. And if so, whether anyone got into Stern through this process.
