Yes, the deadline is April 1st, but the other schools I applied to had an early deadline/rolling admission so I just did them all in one shot.
I was hoping that I could get my decision earlier so I submitted the app in February.
@oswmcc I’m a few pages late, buuut I’m in a similar situation in regards to test scores. My ACT composite is pretty low but I have a perfect score in English, so I was debating whether or not I should send them.
I somehow ended up sending them to NYU by accident so I guess that took the decision out of my hands lol. Did you send your scores?
will nyu read these materials right now when submitted before April First, or they will read after the deadline when all applications collected?
We all want to know the answer of that question^
I wonder if anyone sends their midterm grade to NYU. Is it mandatory? What happen if I don’t send them?
@Marrrry23 I submitted my midterm report last week. I’ve got all A’s so I do want em to consider my grades though I guess it’s not required since it is not on the NYU websites. But I do recommend sending an email to the office to double check, just in case.
I havent received a portal yet :(( Called the office and they said its sent out on rolling basis…Seriously?
Happy waiting… Once you get the portal, you still need to wait another 4 weeks for it to be updated.
I applied way back in January and my Portal is just now showing that NYU has recieved all my required documents. Glad to see it all made it, hopefully this means I’ll receive a decision sooner rather than later.
@dreamingofnyu19 i came across your profile in the 2016 transfer group on facebook! i sent a request to join the group so im not in it yet but you actually live in a town 10 minutes away from me and we’re applying to the same program in the same school, what a small world.
@nyuhopefulmaybe omg that’s so cool that we’re literally from the same county/township area and applying for the same program. i’m not an admin, so i can’t add you to the group, but i’ll look out for when you are added!
I actually called them today about whether they got my documents and was surprised to find they didn’t get any of my transcripts despite having sent those in February. I did that to avoid last minute panic…and now that’s exactly what I’m having. sigh
@dreamingofnyu19 When did you submit your application?
@Baabsssssss March 15th, but I submitted the transcripts in February. They said they still haven’t received them!
@dreamingofnyu19 awesome! my name is simran for when I’m added
does anyone know if they do really care about your high school grades with 48 credits completed?? Don’t really know how much factor of high school grades they concern about, because my high school GPA was like 1.x, failed half of my courses…which is ridiculous when I look back. But I have a 3.85 GPA in CC. Hope it will change their mind…
I know Ivy League schools do consider, but NYU…maybe I guess ?
so midterm reports are not required, right?
@waffle111 i beleive after 24 units you do not need to submit high school transcripts. Honestly, with your high school history, I would recommend completing whatever you need to so that the only transcripts you need to send are the ones from community college. That is only my opinion.
