Accepted into CAS Econ!!! I applied March 28th and didn’t send in the college report and midterm report until a week ago. I didn’t get an email notification, I just saw people were getting decisions so I checked Albert
For future applicants:
-My high school gpa was a mediocre 3.6 (weighted lol). I didn’t care about my grades because I thought I was going to be a rapper. From what I’ve seen, schools really don’t care about your high school performance once you’ve been in college for 2 years
-I’m currently a sophomore at Pitt with a 3.54 (honestly this would be a lot higher if the math departments policy on final exams didn’t hurt me) having taken 69 credits by the end of this semester.
-Two recommendations: one from my jazz guitar teacher at Pitt (I’ve been playing for 10 years) and the other from a professor who gave me an A+
-Didn’t submit my SAT
-Essays were some of my best work though I wouldn’t consider them great
-Got the FA change the day before my acceptance; there were no other changes made on my Albert portal
Congrats to everyone who got in! I’m still waiting on my top choice but I’m so grateful to have been accepted to NYU.
BTW if you applied and haven’t gotten any emails from NYU I strongly encourage you to check Albert to see if your decision has been posted!
@transfer510 i don’t think so… i took this semester off for financial reasons and i only took 12 credits my first semester. i’ll probably graduate in 2021 but i don’t really mind lol

external Transfer from 4 Yr College 4.21 GPA but i apply different major

@cjeong98 I applied CAS Psycho but i studied unrelated major from unrelated department(unrelated Psycho,math).
they nearly mention about that part also.
does anyone know if transfers get an acceptance packet in the mail?
applied to CAS for dramatic lit; I’ve yet to hear back!! so nervous! congrats to everyone today x
