@redroses20 on your acceptance letter it says you have two weeks from the day you receive your acceptance to make the deposit! it’s $500

Is that today for us? Since they haven’t emailed us to check our portals…
I’m kind of surprised that NYU requires the deposit to be submitted within two weeks. I got accepted into Boston University a few weeks ago and am waiting on the results from Boston College, Columbia, Harvard, Northeastern, NYU (Still haven’t heard back…), Stanford, and Tufts. Boston University requires the deposit to be paid by June 1. It’s odd that NYU requires it to be paid so early given many people will be in my situation of applying to multiple schools. NYU is a great school but it’s behind Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, and Boston College for my preference.
@Keith1289 Actually I am applying to NYU this upcoming Fall semester! I am a freshman animation major now and I totally get what you mean about Pratt being meh… These next two weeks are going to be awful. I am most concerned about my current foundation classes because I’m pretty sure if I do get into NYU I won’t be able to transfer any of my credits.
@annadragon I requested it! Also what are people doing for housing?
@transfer510 i think i’m going to start looking for studio apartments in the east village, soho, or the west village 
they’re all super pricey but it’s about the same as living in one of nyu’s dorms
@annadragon Ugh I know. Theyre so expensive. Also struggles cause I dont want to have a roommate but like if I dont my housing will be so insane haha
@transfer510 i feel that 100% lol i lived in a single at university of pittsburgh so i can’t imagine ever having a roommate… i need my own space bc i’m super introverted

When do you guys get your credit evaluation? Or do you get along with your acceptance?
@NYUhopeful_1198 i applied march 17th and heard back today! 6 weeks for me would’ve been this friday.
@lsingh1347 i got my transfer report around 50 minutes before i got my acceptance on albert!
@annadragon Oh i feel that so hard. My freshmen year i had 2 roommates and it sucked. They would like have a million people over until 4am and I would just be sitting on my bed like can you people let me sleep/live please
Has anyone been accepted that didn’t observe any changes on Albert, like the ones occurring for annadragon with financial aid, housing, etc.?
@AGuyWithAFry there are a couple people on this thread who got in without a change and a couple on last years’ thread I think. Not everyone gets a change, but IF you do, that is a great indication of acceptance!
@AGuyWithAFry i agree with @NYUhopeful_1198 there have been cases where people have gotten in without any changes. however, if you do have changes it usually means acceptance. if you go through this thread starting from april 7th you’ll see many of us had changes before we got our acceptances although a few didnt get any changes at all. i’m not the only one who was getting FA and portal changes btw there have been quite a few of us in this thread and in past threads (: you usually get a change a couple days before you get your acceptance from what i’ve observed
