*NYU Fall 2018 Transfer Thread*

@penguinorodrigz when did you submit your application?

@XiHalo117 email yesterday at 5pm

does anyone know when cas psych hears back?

@DPCASEY what’s your major?

Is it still true that we will all get our decisions by May 1?

@GraceBayville Still waiting on Steinhardt. Not for MCC. Hoping for tonight. Fingers crossed haha

I feel like it’s not guaranteed that we hear back by May 1st because i was looking at last years thread and there were people who didn’t get a decision, (for CAS at least) up until May 23rd. I’m really hoping that’s not the case for us

Are there any Facebook groups/ group me / etc for accepted transfer students for Fall 2018? If not does anyone want to make something?

Just emailed them and got the same response:

Transfer decisions are released on a rolling basis and will continue to go out through the end of May.

Hate it.

I’m wondering when the next wave of Gallatin stuff is coming out ugh

Ikr… I emailed Gallatin and they forwarded to admission office lol. I’m hoping to get the decision tmr.

I just called Tisch for photo and imaging and they said decisions won’t be released until May 13th. So…that sucks and I wanna die, but at least now I have some concrete answers. I imagine the rest of Tisch will follow around the same time.

I hope the film program releases their decisions earlier b/c were required to take summer classes as a transfer and I believe a session starts in late May

Anyone heard back from CAS Phil? I have an intern in another country that I have to leave mid-May… just rly hope the result could be released sooner

@AnikaandAj thanks for the info! Film and tv here. The timeline should be different for different department but yes I think they will all be out after May.

NYU needs to change “rolling admissions” to “whenever we feel like getting to it”… this feels like cruel punishment

should have provided better service considering the application fee lol

It definitely feels as if last year it was more organized than this year. Maybe that’s partly due to the huge chance in acceptance rates that they had for undergrad so they had to recalibrate transfers? Either way it definitely feels very random and delayed. This time last year, Tisch decisions were already coming out.

@iconoclasm I’m Dramatic Literature in CAS and I got in on the 17th

If NYU is really gonna hold their decison till May 23rd I may get heart attack before my result coming out
