@cbabbinoNYU That’s unfortunate. From the statistics it looks like their CAS only accepts roughly 10 external transfers per semester. Which program/college did you apply to at Cornell?
@racheliiiiii Hi Rachel, I believe I heard back from them about a week or two ago
@racheliiiiii If you haven’t been accepted yet I wouldn’t worry. I received an email from them but when I log into the portal nothing has changed. I’m sure they will be sending out more
Everyone don’t get excited when you see tabs in your account cause when I applied last year as a first year we all had that and I got rejected along with others- the only time we’ll know is when we get our decisions for sure- I thought last year that meant I got in but I was wrong lol @way2stressed0ut
And I’m not saying this to burst anyone’s bubble, but someone asked on the cornell feed if they were able to log into something for accepted transfer students (and none of us got out decisions yet) and we were able to log on
Good to know @mishk90. The only reason I brought it up in the first place is because everyone who got accepted last year had something happen to their Albert like that. Though, from the looks of it, pretty much everyone posting in that thread last year got accepted anyway so it isn’t much to go off of lol.
Also, why is everyone asking me to chance them now?! I know as much as the next guy!
@niiniin lol you know sometimes it just feels so reassuring to get some feedback from peers! (I guess it’s because I asked and you helped me but lol)
I got really confused about the transfer college report and the midterm report from CommonApp
my school doesn’t even have midterms, should i just ask registar office to do it?
@zachsambition I applied to CAS but I don’t expect to get in lol even with my statistics. I just did it to do it because they sent me an email to apply, I figured why not. NYU aid my dream school and I would much rather attend CAS there.
@niiniin They may only look at one anyways. And I have 64+ college credits transferring as a junior and never taken the SATS or ACTS. I was worried about my high school gpa too. I’ve written a really strong WHY NYU? essay and personal statement as well. I got two strong letters of recommendation and a strong on from the common app from my supervisor as well.
@ssscarrrr78 The midterm report isn’t required. However, for the college report, I went to my advisor and she had the lead academic advisor fill it out for me and directly email it to NYU’s docs email. It was accepted.
@burgerdebambi it shouldn’t matter though, i saw people who applied in jan accepted in the first wave as well as people who applied one day before the deadline
Hey guys, can you find a Fall 2017 transfer thread? I’ve found a couple with like two comments - but nothing like this. I want to see when people started getting transfer decisions last year…
Looks like first decisions came out April 7(first friday) last year, and April 4 (first monday) the year before that. So maybe we’ll get the first wave this Monday or NEXT Monday? Hopefully at least one round the first week of April.
