Has anyone heard from Steinhardt?
It might mean those with the resolved checklist are getting their decisions sooner rather than later, but that’s just speculation. Everything on my checklist is marked as received and my checklist hasn’t disappeared. I wouldn’t worry too much about it though!
I think they’ll be releasing decisions on a weekly basis based on what I saw on last year’s thread. Decisions were released every Thursday but this year it looks like Friday but who knows.
Anyone hear today?
My D got an email last night inviting her to audition via zoom on April 11. She’s a vocal performance MT applicant.
Were decisions released weekly or biweekly last year?
Has anyone heard from Steinhardt?
last year decisions were released weekly starting april 25th
Dang so from the first wave until April 25 there was nothing?
unfortunately yes
This is beyond stressful. I’m really hoping to hear a decision next week at least.
did someone say that decisions are rolling? because if this is the case does that mean i’m going to get my decision late because i submitted my app on march 31?
I think the people whose checklists disappeared are going to get a decision within the next 2 weeks
Hi everyone, I went looking at last year college confidential thread and this what I found;
http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/2126651-nyu-transfer-fall-2019-p13.html
Alright, guys, I know since May is coming up everybody is asking when is X school’s decision going to come out. So me and my other friends transferring to NYU decided to compile the admission dates from the FALL 2018 TRANSFER year. (Just as a disclaimer this could very different from this year)
04/05/18 – CAS/Gallatin/Steinhardt (not MCC) acceptances
04/15 – 04/17/18 – CAS acceptances
04/20 – 04/24/18 – CAS rejections (mostly econ)
04/25/18 – CAS/Tandon acceptances
05/02/18 – Tisch/Gallatin acceptances and rejections
05/03/18 – Steinhardt acceptances (MCC)
05/08/18 – Tandon acceptances/ Gallatin rejections
05/15/18 – CAS (plus rejections) /Gallatin (plus rejections) /Steinhardt/Tisch acceptances
05/22/18 – Tandon acceptances/ Steinhardt (MCC) acceptances and rejections/ Stern rejections (all rejections)/CAS acceptances and rejections
05/24/18 – Stern acceptances
06/01/18 – 1 stern acceptance
06/12/18 – 1 stern acceptance
Decisions are rolling and I feel like usually the earlier you submit your application, the sooner you get your decision. However, I stalked last year’s thread and I saw people who applied super early get their decisions in late May/June and then a person who applied the day of the deadline that got their decision 2 weeks later.
I also applied on the first lol
Does anyone know if there is a Facebook page for transfer students looking for roomies? I haven’t been accepted yet but just thinking ahead!
I’m going to speculate here based on what we were told about normal (freshman) admissions: the definite acceptances and rejections are decided first, so for transfers with rolling notifications, they are probably communicated first. The ones that come near the end are likely the more borderline ones and might partly depend (definitely do in the case of stern) on how many internal transfers they have accepted.
Did anyone apply to Gallatin?
@dood523 I did!
