Where does it say that?
@sisyphuspeak does your say student or affilate?
@Sampats it changed from “member” to “member - student” yesterday.
@unicornsparkles NYU home > Work > NYU Zoom > Account Profile.
mine also says member - student
We probably shouldn’t get too caught up in this, as it could mean nothing to us as of now. (-:
Anyways has anyone been watching any good movies lately/reading any good books
yikes just checked and mine just says student…
just finished love is blind!
Mine says member-student as well… what does it say for the people who got in already?
No decisions yet, but mine says Member - affiliate
I looked back in the thread and for one of the people that got accepted, their’s still just said “member.”
I looked at the Spring 2020 transfers thread and someone whose zoom changed from member to member affiliate got rejected.
Someone had theirs change from member to member-student and they got rejected.
Another person had theirs also change from member to member-student and they got accepted.
It honestly probably doesn’t mean anything tbh I wouldn’t count on it
Other signs of acceptance I found:
- "my financial aid link on albert now says: 2020/New York University/Award access not available. These are all in separate columns."
- "Housing portal update: Only shows J-term and Summer" (spring transfer, they got accepted 20 mins later)
- transfer credit report shows up
- academic advisor appears
- "Things I noticed before acceptance were that financial aid turned from nothing to inquiry access denied for 2019 and 2020 the day before and then a few hours before I got accepted, I had transfer credits pop up." (fall 2019 transfer)
Financial aid updates seem to pop up the night before, while transfer credit reports usually show up the morning of the decision
Lowered my expectations now
@blueki what is J term?
@sisyphuspeak after i was accepted it said member, now it says member student.
Hi everyone! May I know if we need to apply for housing before we heard the decisions or only after we were admitted? Seems that some other universities require applicants to apply for housing during these days, though the decisions are not ready
@siiiyan you apply for housing after you accept your decision !
I think in the Fall 2019 transfer thread they said that most member-affiliates got accepted and just plain "member"s were rejected. Probably doesn’t mean much
I just received an email saying that my application was incomplete and that they needed my mid term grades; however, I already submitted them (with my application). I did use the common app form as opposed to theirs, should I be worried??
@corinnaolson how do I check if I am a member affiliate or if im a member student?
