NYU Fall 2020 Transfer

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted!! Just wondering, how long are they giving you to make a decision on accepting/declining the enrollment offer??

@columbian69420 Hey! Congrats on being admitted to Gallatin! Did you receive your financial aid package yet because I haven’t gotten mine (it’s been a week). Also, what are you thinking of concentrating in

@nyu2001 I got admitted as a transfer, junior-level! I got accepted into Gallatin exactly a week ago, and am still waiting for my credits and financial aid package to be sorted out. I’m thinking of concentrating in Econ, Psych, and Sociology

i just woke up and found out i got accepted. College of arts & sciences - Psychology.

@ale9953 I got accepted on April 24th, I had until May 8th to enroll but I asked for an extension today and they gave me until the 22nd!

***If anyone needs an extension, I would recommend calling them directly and telling them why, and they should email you the link if they approve your request. I know they’re getting badgered by a lot of people calling, esp the first-years, but regardless, they’ve been really nice and understanding—which we should appreciate!

Is anyone applying as an Intl. Relations major at CAS?

Has anyone who applied cas econ heard back yet?

Is there a page for transfers?

@haydeng19 Im not sure but I haven’t seen any Econ majors in the thread get accepted as yet. I’m an Econ major as well and I’m still waiting.

@Bettane123 maybe they’re waiting to see what spaces are left since today is the freshman commitment day

No update. Applied CAS Neural Science.

I’m CAS neural too!!! Nothing!

Just checked, no update. School -Tandon, Major- Business and Technology Management

Heard nothing yet. CAS Linguistics. An admission officer contacted me on April 15 to clarify something on my transcript. Checklist disappeared around April 20. Radio silence ever since.

Today, we’ve heard from two CAS applicants on this thread. Most acceptances I’ve seen today are non-CAS such as Stein, Gallatin, and Tandon. I hope this doesn’t mean that they’re running out of space for CAS, but regardless I’m content with the schools that I did get accepted into. If I get into NYU, cool. If I don’t, oh well–I still have other transfer schools to pick from.

Good luck to myself and others still waiting to hear back!

@CASTransfer2020 I’m an IR major in CAS and got my acceptance today

Secondly, I’m on mobile and it’s hard to navigate but is there a transfer groupme I could join?

CAS applicants… what are your stats?

@nyu2001
No response yet (I thought this was important to add, lol)
I applied to CAS for one of the public health programs
I have a 4.0 College GPA, a good hs GPA, and a high 30 ACT score.
I was accepted last year as a freshman and could not commit for financial reasons. I have good ECs and wrote what is hopefully perceived as a meaningful essay. Hope this helps!

Applying from a small 4-year with a 35% acceptance rate after being recruited for D3 sport. 96% GPA all honors and APs in high school, 3.675 GPA for first semester (college deflates grades and doesn’t use any curve system). 29 ACT, lots of extracurriculars in high school, Theater, a capella, varsity sport, and student government involvement in college. Honestly, I’m not betting that I’ll get in here, but I figured why not try. Haven’t heard anything yet though, applied late March and sent in all supporting documents by april 15th. CAS poli sci

CAS Econ major- 4.0 college gpa, good HS grades, schooled internationally so we didn’t have a weighted or unweighted scale. Four A’s and three B’s in A-level exams and 2 A’s and 3 B’s in O’levels.
Reasonable amount of extracurriculars in High School, including our national Red Cross club, journalism and debate society and was an honor roll student,
A lot of extra curricular activities in college including student government and student ambassador program.
Good recommendations and I think my essays were okay, I wrote from my heart.

That’s great!! I kinda feel like they don’t care about high school stuff right? more about college?
