it’s not all of my classes which is why im confused. There’s 3 missing and doesn’t include all of my completed classes from last semester @elleko15
@TooMuchLit and @dood523 Hey guys! I also applied to Gallatin and am waiting to hear back. I wasn’t feeling nervous until I felt everyone’s angst lol. I am a current sophomore applying to Gallatin as a junior, which I heard is very difficult.
Does anyone know when the Gallatin decisions are released? I thought it would come in waves between May 15 and June 15 from the different colleges, but it seems like Tisch decisions come out this Friday, according to this forum.
Not sure if someone already answered this, but the checklist disappearing means that the admissions comity has seen that you turned in everything.
Interesting. My checklist hasn’t disappeared at all.
Yea strange. Tbh I don’t think it matters, but when my checklist disappeared, it was replaced with this message:
"We have received all of the necessary documents to review your application. If we need any additional supporting materials, we will reach out to you via email.
For more information about application requirements and submitting official materials refer to these links:"
This message appeared after I called the admissions department to verify all my docs were in. Again, it likely doesn’t mean anything regarding their admission decision.
I applied as a transfer last year to NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing.
I was rejected Thursday May 30, 2019. The same day another student was accepted to Rory Meyers. If I remember correctly she applied earlier than me but we received decisions the same day & time.
I never received an email about my decision I only knew from obsessively checking this site to know when to check the portal.
I’m reapplying this year but wanted to share in case it was helpful.
@nnas1308 Thanks for sharing your info. I have applied for Rory as well since February and it seems like forever waiting. I call admission yesterday and was only told decisions would come out this month but so specific dates. It’s very stressful.
@nnas1308 and @Nursing77 Hello! So I’m planning to transfer to Rory Meyers if I don’t get in this cycle. I have some questions regarding transferring…
So can you transfer as a sophomore after you complete the required courses/credits, in other words, is it possible to transfer after your first year?
And did you guys apply to any other nursing schools and I’m curious which ones you applied to?
Is it difficult to transfer from four year to four year college?
@LeviAru Hi, for transferring into the program you must complete 64 credits of courses that are required. I was accepted into Hunter & Lehman but NYU is my top choice so I’m still waiting.
Hey guys, I just declined my offer at NYU. So, I hope this could bump up a chance for one of y’all.
@kdalida I’m sorry to hear that. May I ask what’s your major?
I got admitted to Gallatin, but financial aid was terrible. I was in huge denial as it was my top choice, but I think it is better in the long run.
@kdalida That really sucks! I’ve been reading other threads and a lot of ppl didn’t get any financial aid at all or same situation as yours.
@Nursing77 Especially with the current situation, NYU just doesn’t have that much money. But there is still hope! Mine just didn’t go as planned.
@kdalida It’s a very unfortunate situation we’re all in and all the schools but I read yesterday that Columbia received $12 million from the government and I’m pretty NYU did get something as well…but I’ve heard NYU doesn’t give much of financial aid assistance in the past.
@kdalida If you don’t mind me asking, how are your parents’ finances?
does anyone seem their estimated cost of attendance? in previous weeks, people were able to see theirs the day before they get accepted. i can’t see mine so i’m stressed ;/
@hydrangea78 don’t worry because it only shows up the night before. It would not show up right now
No decision from NYU yet and nothing regarding transfer credits nor anything related to financials/estimate cost of attendance.
where would the estimated cost of attendance appear? on the portal?
