DS is interested in a film school summer experience. He's done a lot of video making himself, so he is not exactly a novice. NYU's program seems very competitive to get into, but their brochure states students will be learning the basics at first, since most students come in with no experience. I'm wondering if that is really true, since who else would apply to such a rigorous program? Are there other schools that have courses for kids who have some experience? Wanted to stay on the East Coast, besides USC, etc. being pretty pricey. But maybe it's worth it if you are getting college credit. Any thoughts? Thanks.
