I want to go to NYU in SEPT 2010, majoring in film and television, the thing is it cost a lot, and I feel like I might not be able to go, Are there any aiding for international students to Tisch?!? btw I'm from Canada, don't know how that might help, hopefully, I guess?!? any scholarships?!? merit?!? anything money base that I can use to pay?!?

NYU does not have need-based financial aid for international students, including Canadians. They do have a few partial scholarships; however, most scholarships indicate financial need as one of the criteria for selection, and that might exclude you since you would not be filing an application for financial aid… But you can definitely give it a shot and see what happens!

It is tough for internationals to get financial aid for a college education in the US. They typically have to do the college search process backwards: start compiling a list of colleges with financial aid, and then pick from those. You are lucky because some of the more selective colleges will treat Canadians like US citizens for financial aid purposes, but NYU does not seem to be one of them.
