I've seen too many bullitins with "congratulations" because were accepted to NYU/Tish and etc. But, I thought it would be nice to have a bullitin regarding to those of us who are STILL WAITING for April-- considering thats when we get NYU's admissions accepted/rejected letter.

I'm applying for Tish, and I think my audition went great. I'm also a minority and poor lol ..
but I think that "NYU Protest" might hurt my chances of getting in because I'm low income... sighss!. How do you guys feel? , its soo stressful to have to wait all the way till April!

Don’t worry, low-income won’t affect you. If they really want you, that shouldn’t matter. Cause I was low-income and they ended up giving me a ****load of money so, I’m happy.

I am right there with you. I applied Tisch, CAP21, and won’t get into CAP b/c apparently it’s impossible to get into.
That being said…
My audition in general went pretty decently, and I absolutely cannot stop thinking about the next month.

People just don’t understand that after that audition, you just go home and wait. It’s not even like you’re stressed, you’re just…waiting.

April 1st can’t come soon enough!
I actually spoke to a friend of mine, who’s in Tisch, and she said something about a small letter coming before the big packet? What’s the deal with that?

Oh sometimes during regular decision, they sent postcards to accepted students inviting you to an event before your actual big acceptance letter arrives. If you get it, it’s pretty much guarenteed that you were accepted.

Ah, even if you don’t get into CAP21, I think a lot of the kids still get placed in one of the better studios from what I hear. I don’t know though, I’m in Tisch for film. :)

I just got an NYU newsletter in the mail saying stuff like “NYU can take you places”, and then it mentions the countries you can go to and etc. After the audition thats ALL I ever thought about …the admissions letter. And, um… I dont know if you really get a small letter before the big package… I hope thats not true because, I’m assumming that if your accepted the first thing you’ll see april 1st will be a BIG ENVELOPE SAYING “CONGRATULATIONS!” lol. I highlyy doubt I’ll get any sleep march 31st!!

Yeah, I auditioned on FEB. 18th for Tisch and I thought my audition went REALLY well because I had a long interview and stuff, but apparently that’s just what they do at NYU auditions. Has anyone already got accepted? Are they already sending letters out? B/C there are facebook groups with ppl who have already been accepted to the class of 2013. ??? AAAHHH.
Also, I have NOT gotten any mail from NYU. Nothing. No brochure, no pamphlet, nothing. So at least you guys are getting SOMETHING.

Kate, have you filled out the FAFSA yet? My family has a low income, but it helps you be eligible for more scholarships/grants the sooner you fill it out. Also, I think colleges appreciate it when you get it filled out quick, and you don’t have to be accepted into the college before you send it to them.

have any us of RD Tischies (Drama) recieved any of those admitted student events invites yet? I kow CAS and some dramatic writing ones have been sent out and I am dying to know

I know a few people who applied regular decision but got accepted to the LSP. However, I got an email last night telling me that my offer of admission for my school of choice (steinhardt) would be mailed to me at the end of March. I honestly wasn’t expecting it because I thought all decisions came out on April first.

i applied to steinhardt and live in NY (and pretty close to NYU at that), no word yet. i’m pretty sure it’s just CAS decisions that are going out =(, sucks.

For people who have heard from Tisch, when did you recieve your invitations and what region of the nation do you live in?
I’m creeping my mailman out at this point.
